The Murtala Muhammed Foundation (MMF) hosted the third edition of its Annual Public Policy Dialogue series in October, 2013 in partnership with the African Leadership Academy (ALA), South Africa. The 2013 edition was focused on the important issue of leadership education with the aim of exploring innovative strategies for developing a new generation of leaders that will finally guide Africa to its destiny of greatness.

Discussed at the Dialogue was the imperative to inculcate in the youths the ethos of civic responsibility and the need to appreciate the critical balance between the rights of the individual and the duties and obligations of the individual to the society. One of the most vital of the individual’s duties to the society is the duty to lead the society to a better place.

Speakers at the event included Mr. Julius o. Akinyemi, Fred swaniker, Prof. Ebere Onwudiwe, Professor Ram Kumar Kakani, Folasade Adefisayo, Dr Nkosana Moyo, Prof. Foluso Okunmadewa, Ndidi Nwuneli, Honorable Yusuf Tuggar and Chinezi Chijioke.
